Half of my life is spent at 59 degrees North latitude on the shores of Alaska's Kachemak Bay. The other half is spent at 70 degrees North latitude on the Central Beaufort Sea Coast. Lots happens in between, too, in this land known as The Last Frontier.

Packaging Food at Home

The blue tub has 20 pounds of homemade granola in it and represents the bulk of my trail lunch for the entire expedition : rolled oats, nuts, craisins,  shredded coconut, peanut M&Ms, dried tart cherries, vanilla extract, molasses, maple syrup, organic blue agave sweetener, corn oil........lots of good energy food. I put my desired ingredients together, baked it in the oven and added extras after the fact: I saved money and have bulk leftovers, too.
Ok, so now you have 14 identical breakfasts neatly packaged....and , much like Albert Einstein's wardrobe they are identical (except for the flavor of oatmeal and Clif bars-gotta have some variety!).
Package up your granola and your food is well on its way to being complete.
